Play Date: Creative Adventures For Adults

“The biggest question is whether you are going to to be able to say a hearty yes to your adventure. ” – Joseph Campbell

When was the last time you went on an adventure and did something different to your usual routine?

When last did you explore the world with childlike awe and wonder?

When last did you experience the city that you live in like a tourist, where everything you experienced was exciting and new and you were open to people, places and things you would normally say no to?

Play Date is a brand new Write On experience in which participants are invited on a creative adventure. You will be given written and creative prompts based on the theme and location of the play date. Participants are invited to get out of their comfort zones and see the world differently. You will be given time to write, explore, share and process and the emphasis is on having fun while learning about yourself and your surroundings in a playful and creative way.

Play Date was first created as part of Creative Week Cape Town in 2014 by Write On! founder Amy Kaye.  Amy came up with the concept of taking students out of the classroom and into the world for creative exploring by taking them on meditative creative guided walks through the city of Cape Town.
